Sandham’s prides itself on being a happy learning environment with enjoyment and education being at the root of all our classes. This policy exists to maintain this environment and enable pupils to reach their full potential.

Disruptive behaviour will not be tolerated; class teachers reserve the right to ask pupils to leave the class at any time, if they feel that their behaviour is disturbing the enjoyment and education of other pupils. If a member of staff feels that the behaviour of an individual is continuously disruptive, the management will be informed and the pupil may be asked to leave Sandham’s.

Regular attendance is essential for the progression of individuals. Pupils must always be prompt for class and attend regularly. If pupils are absent for any reason then Sandham’s need to be informed.

Behaviour in unsupervised areas, eg changing rooms and toilets, must be acceptable and in line with our behaviour policy.

Management accepts no responsibility for damage or loss of any personal belongings.

ALL pupils must wear the correct uniform for classes. Staff will advise anyone who is uncertain, about what to wear.

In line with IDTA recommendations there will be a class uniform for all classes and these are detailed in the Class Uniform List complete with prices.

Pupils will not be admitted to Theatre classes unless wearing the correct uniform and footwear, although exception will be made for new pupils during the first two weeks of their new class

There is a dedicated changing room on the ground floor here at Sandham’s and we ask that children DO NOT undress or change in public areas. To keep the Lounge free from bags and clothes we would also appreciate bags being left in the changing room during classes to enable full use of the Lounge as a seating area for parents waiting for children during classes. Pupils are asked to only use this room to change and leave their belongings during class and not as a meeting and social area
