    The Dancesport Academyi s focused on achieving excellent competitive dance standards.This Academy will not only concentrate all forms of competitive danceincluding Ballroom,Latin,Freestyle,street Dance and Rock N Roll .Our aim is to raise the pupils standards to competitive levels in all the forms of dance we teach.With this in mind we have invited pupils  apply for a place in the Academy and change from their current class to the new Dancesport Academy class.

          The Academy pupils will have there own class,examination sessions and presentations and will progress through the IDTA Medal system faster .The classes are not run like the Dancefusion classes as the emphasis will be on dancing with a partner in the Ballroom & Latin and the Freestyle & Street  medal work will be of a competition level.

The Academy classes are run by Michael  Sandham(former World Professional Finalist) who will use his knowledge of competitive dancing and his experience as a Fellow and Examiner of the IDTA to develop a first class Academy.

    Academy Aims

    · To  provide competitive level training in all dance styles

    · To teach a higher level of Freestyle/Street for medal examinations

    · To progress through the Medal Examinations quicker

    · Each pupil to be able to partner another pupil to enable them to compete in   Ballroom & Latin American competitions if they wish

     · To improve focus and learning skills

     · To provide advice and recommendations on pupils progress
